Purpose

The New Community Music Department, led by the Assistant Pastor, Elder Maurice Hunt, is one body unified in spirit and with a heart of purity, purpose to glorify God and to serve Him in a spirit of excellence humbly. To lead people into His divine presence through thanksgiving, praise, and worship.

Our music creates an atmosphere that prepares the congregation to receive from God; His peace, joy, healing, forgiveness, and all He has to offer. Our music sets an example to the community of praise and worship, unity, and love and displays our care for one another.

Goals

• • We strive to inspire, encourage,  train, and direct those whom God has called into the music ministry with a spirit of service, sensitivity, humility, and strength.
  • To provide the highest quality in church music through various genres not as a demonstration of our talent but as a "Sacrifice of Praise" to God.
  • To Lead our congregation in praise and worship to God with the voice and instructions.
  • To provide a balanced program that appreciates our past and embraces our future.
  • To have an inclusive program where all can participate with their voice or instrument.
