This Is My Testimony
"2008 and the Victory Won"!
2008, what a year this has been! God has allowed some trials to come into my life that have been hard. But, I must admit, spiritually I am stronger than I have ever been before and in every test, He has blessed me and my family. I am only going to expound on a few things God has done in our lives this year. This testimony would be too long to read, if I tried to tell it all! God has truly been good to us!
In March, we started having major financial difficulties. All of 2007, my husband did not work, due to a lay-off and everything just caught up to us all at one time. In addition to that, we had to put our children in daycare because my husband got hired in a temporary position. The mortgage was due, the car note was due, medical bills were coming in and I just could not stay afloat, I was sinking hard and fast. I talked with my mortgage company to work out a payment plan and still could not keep up with those payments. So, we had to sell the house to avoid foreclosure.
After we sold the house, (which sold in less than 2 months, Praise God!) we had to move into my parent’s house. This was a humbling experience for me. I just didn’t understand how the Lord could allow this to happen to me and my family. While we were living with my parents, my husband’s car got repossessed and we only had 1 vehicle. We needed 2. The Lord blessed, my parents in South Carolina offered us a car they weren’t using and we had another car, just like that. God continued to bless through every test and trial.
I prayed to God and said before 2008 is out, I want to be in our own place, be it a rental or a new home. We need our own. In less than 1 week, even though we didn’t inquire at all, we were signing papers to rent a townhouse. The owner worked with us, making it possible to be able to pay our down payment within 30 days of us moving in. God is good!
To make a long story short, God has blessed us through our tests and He is continuing to let me and my family know, that whatever we are going through, He’s working it out for our good. He lets us know that He will take care of us and He will give us what we need when we need it. We just have to have F.A.I.T.H. - For All I Trust Him! Praise God, for the Great Things He has done this year!!!!
