Evangelist Joann Hunt was born and raised in Washington, D.C. She is the second of five children. Following graduation from Western High School in Washington, D.C., she attended Bowie State College. During her college years, she accepted Christ as her personal savior. In 1976 she met Brother Willie and after a "whirlwind courtship", they were married in 1977. Three days after the wedding, she left with her new husband for an assignment in Germany. Evangelist Joann Hunt and Elder Willie R. Hunt have three children: Maurice, Michael and Kimberly, Two daughters-in-law: Alaina and Tashia, and two grandchildren: Simone and Stephen. Evangelist Hunt truly walks worthy in her vocation as a mother, pastor's wife, and most of all, a servant of God.
Evangelist Hunt's commitment to the Lord and active participation allows her to work comfortably in all areas of ministry. She currently serves as president of the Minister's Wives department, Coordinator of Women's Day, and she provides training for the Missionaries. She recently conducted a seminar entitled "I Still Do", which was geared toward married women and was a notable success.
Evangelist Hunt's soft touch and delivery of the Word has been a blessing to all that have had the privilege to hear her. First Lady Joann Hunt has touched and blessed many lives through her leadership and unique qualities.
"Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy; That they do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to distribute, willing to communicate." 1 Timothy 6:17-18
