June 28 - Finding Protection

Bible Basis: Lesson Scripture: Exodus 14:15-25, 30a

Bible Truth: We must realize that God protects His own.

Memory Verse: Thus the LORD saved Israel that day out of the hand of the Egyptians;

Lesson Aim: That you will see how God protects you from the enemy.

Question 1: How do we wisely pray for missionaries working in situations where they may be attacked or imprisoned?
How do we discern that it's time to put our prayers into personal action?

Question 2: What resources are available to Christians when circumstances start to turn bad or when the situation seems impossible?

Question 3: In today's text, Moses seemed more "settled" than many of the other Israelites.  What is it about serving on the front line that may give leaders an advantage in their confidence in God?  What can the average Christian do to gain this perspective?

Question 4: What do God's responses to the differing reactions of Pharaoh and Moses reveal about how He may respond to us today?

Question 5: Thinking about one of your darkest hours of doubt and confusion, what role did God play?
How did you grow spiritually from that experience?

Question6:  If you were to write a single-stanza hymn telling of God's feats in lessons 1-4, what would you include?
Would you focus on specific events or on broader issues such as timing and empowerment?
Why?  What would be gained from singing this hymn over and over?
